A new home built on a subdivided rear section in Kaiapoi — making use of a well-oriented, under-utilised section that had previously sat undeveloped behind the front dwelling.
The house was custom designed to work with the site’s specific constraints and orientation. Modest level of internal finish, built to perform well as a rental or owner-occupied property.
BF Property managed the project from subdivision through to handover. Resource consent for the subdivision was handled through Waimakariri District Council. The new dwelling is a single-level home — standard full brick veneer cladding and iron roof, typical of a quality smaller home in a modern Canterbury subdivision. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, double garage.
Handed over June 2023. A completed new title and rental home delivered from a previously under-utilised rear section, without the client managing a single subcontractor.
